This June marks the 24th National Safety Production Month in China, with the theme "Everyone Talks about Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency - Finding Hazards Around Us". On May 26th, Huayou Cobalt held its 2025 Safety Production Month Launch Conference at its Tongxiang headquarters. The meeting comprehensively implemented the national work deployment for Safety Production Month, deepening the company’s principle that “safety and environmental protection are most of importance”. It focused on dual drivers of "top management responsibility implementation" and "upgrade of safety and environmental protection systems", systematically deploying actions to enhance safety production.

Chen Hongliang, President of the company, attended the conference and delivered a speech. He emphasized that safety is the cornerstone of Huayou's global journey and a golden sign of customer trust. Standing in the rainforests of Indonesia, mines in Congo (Kinshasa), or before customers in Europe, Huayou represents not only itself but also the responsibility and commitment of Chinese enterprises. High-level safety is essential for high-quality development. Based on this understanding, President Chen proposed three requirements:
Top managers must take primary responsibility for safety, personally ensuring defenses are solid.
The Safety and Environmental Protection Management Center should strengthen strict supervision and build a globally integrated system.
All employees should participate in identifying and eliminating potential hazards, winning the battle for a safer foundation.
"Safety is not just a slogan but an action; responsibility cannot be left hanging but must be grounded." Each industrial group, domestic and overseas bases, and functional departments should implement the concept of prioritizing safety according to the company's unified arrangements, fostering a value orientation that regards safety as honorable and negligence as shameful, adhering to ironclad determination, discipline, and execution to fortify the line of defense for safe production.

Wu Zhanjun, General Manager of the company's Safety and Environmental Protection Management Center, interpreted the safety and environmental protection work plan for 2025. From the perspective of accident case warnings, golden rules for cherishing life, and pre-control of safety and environmental protection, he analyzed the current safety situation faced by the company and clarified key points for subsequent safety and environmental management work. He called for all personnel to shift from passive response to active prevention, effectively laying a solid foundation for safe production.
